Pentecost

Have you ever heard of the ‘Wild Goose’?  It is the name for the Holy Spirit used by Early Christians who had an appreciation for the goose’s unexpected interventions, and saw the goose as a fitting symbol for the Spirit and believers saw the noble goose as a symbol of vigilance.                                                                                                               Each one of us needs the Holy Spirit.  He breathes the life of God into us, along with the rhythm of God, awakening and empowering the gifts He has given us to do His work.  Holy Spirit can be as gentle as a dove or a huge mighty source of wind bursting into the upper room igniting the disciples to spread the Word and the Love of the Father changing the course of history forever~~ He helps us discover a Deeper Relationship with the Trinity and only the Holy Spirit can awaken us to the Power of God’s Love which is the only love able to satisfy and renew our hearts.  That Deeper Relationship allows us to hear that ‘sweet small voice’ that Elijah heard, while alone and fearful.

“The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”   John 3-8.

Holy Spirit awakens our hearts and minds to enable us to speak and act in accordance with the love and freedom that is gifted to us through Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection.

I want to be part of a community—of a Body of Christ—that does not restrain the Spirit but rather embraces and opens itself to the excitement and anticipation of the Wild Goose’s restless and wild nature.

WISHING YOU A BLESSED AND Happy Pentecost!  It is a very important time for me every year as I await for the Holy Spirit to strengthen and fill me with His teachings.  An Adventure I don’t want to miss!!     God love you…Eva
